I moved from the Netherlands to New York in 2015 to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating, I headed to LA and started acting in short films, but what really stuck with me was the collaborative process of making them. I was lucky to work with generous femme filmmakers who taught me the ropes, and with their guidance I started writing scripts, directing, and making my first short films. That experience inspired me to start Fountain Avenue Productions as a space to keep building projects with that same collaborative spirit. When I moved back to New York, I launched my first web series, and I’ve been producing, editing, writing, and creating ever since.
Q TRAIN is a web series about a Brooklyn DJ navigating the ups and downs of queer dating in New York City, partly inspired by my own experiences behind the decks. I not only co-created the series but also produced the music, working with a small but dedicated team of indie filmmakers to bring it to life.
The project went on to screen at the Bushwick Film Festival, Dances With Films, and NYC Web Fest, and helped grow our YouTube channel to over 11.5K subscribers and more than 195K views.
Amsterdam Ave. is a coming-of-age series about a DJ and an actor who swap homes between Amsterdam and New York to chase their dreams. We worked with a mix of well-known Dutch and U.S. talent, including Catherine Curtin and Beau Schneider, and teamed up with DJ/producers Coco & Breezy, who created the soundtrack.
Beyond the screen, we organized our own screening tour with stops at Scholastic (our premiere), LinkedIn HQ, Harvard Business School, Soho House, and Carnegie Mellon University, where we paired viewings with conversations about the series. The project was selected for multiple festivals, winning Best Webseries at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival and 2nd Best Webseries at the NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival, and was featured in outlets like Grazia India and Elle Netherlands.
Beyond my own projects, I’ve worked as a video editor for a range of clients across corporate, branded, and children’s media. At J Cut Media, I edited campaigns for companies like VMware and Google. At Sockeye Media, I contributed to the massively popular Mother Goose Club franchise - including Playhouse and Funhouse - which together reach over 31 million YouTube subscribers.
Currently, I’m producing, directing, and editing a live concert/recording series at Sheer Studios Brooklyn, where I collaborate with artists to capture performances that blend the energy of live shows with the polish of studio production.
