ABOUT
DIONNE (Dionne van den Berg) is an electronic music artist, DJ and filmmaker based in NYC. She grew up in the Netherlands and moved to NYC in 2015 to follow her dreams of acting, filmmaking and music. Upon graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts she founded the production company Fountain Avenue Productions and created several award winning web-series (like Q TRAIN) and short films which she wrote, produced, edited and acted in.
Besides her work in film, DIONNE works as a DJ and music producer. She grew up singing and playing instruments, and has in recent years started to combine her passions for electronic music and storytelling into her own original music.
In the fall of 2024 DIONNE started her MFA graduate studies Sonic Arts at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinematic Arts & Conservatory of Music to further deepen her knowledge as a music producer and filmmaker.
WORK
Q TRAIN
DIONNE co-wrote, produced directed, edited, acted in and produced music for Q Train, a 5 episode web series about a Bushwick DJ exploring queer dating. Q Train premiered at Bushwick Film Festival in the fall of 2023 and had screenings at NY WebFest and Dances With Films. You can watch the first season now on Youtube.
She has also produced music for brand campaigns including Yume Yume and Tarform.
As a DJ, DIONNE played at many venues around NYC including Mood Ring, Jupiter Disco, Mansions and more. In 2022 DIONNE made her festival debut at Amsterdam Dance Event.
She has also played corporate events for companies including Tara Babylon (NYFW), Citibank, Bundesliga and KoreanK9Recue.
